It is the Student’s (Your) responsibility to fully read, understand, and agree to all Enrolment Terms & Conditions, Privacy Statement, and Fees & Charges.
Upon enrolling in a course, the student (you) is entering a legal agreement in which they agree to abide by the conditions of enrolment, including meeting stated payments, in exchange for the service offered by the institution in the delivery of the course. This agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the law in force in all states of Australia.
Careerline Courses and Education Pty Ltd (CLC) complies with Australian Consumer Law in regard to refunds. We are NOT required to provide a refund if you change your mind about the course that you chose to enroll into.
INSTALLMENT PLANS POLICY
If you are paying via an installment plan, on enrollment you are deemed as being liable for the whole amount of the course cost under that plan. It is acknowledged that default in payment of an amount due to Careerline Courses and Education Pty Ltd will result in an AU$30.00 dishonour fee, per default. Repeated failure will result in the referral of any resultant debt, (inclusive of any interest or other fees incurred in accordance with these conditions of enrollment), for collection by a mercantile agent plus any additional collection agent costs.
It is your responsibility to inform Careerline Courses and Education Pty Ltd in writing of any corrections or changes to your personal details including name, postal address, phone number, payment options, and banking details.
Careerline Courses and Education Pty Ltd is NOT responsible for any changes to your circumstances.
COURSE WITHDRAWALS AND REFUNDS
- A 50% refund is permitted if (1) a notification of withdrawal from a course was received in writing, within 7 days of enrollment, the enrollment date being taken from the time CLC received payment for the course; (2) The course notes, in case of online delivery, must NOT have been downloaded; and in the case of printed/hard-copy, disc, or email attachment, have NOT been sent from CLC.
- NO REFUND will be provided after 7 days of the course commencement date.
- NO REFUND will be provided where work or assessment has been saved or submitted.
- Printed notes and other hard copy materials are non-refundable.
The decision of assessing the extenuating circumstances rests with the Operations Manager and shall be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
DEFERMENTS
You may apply to CLC for a deferment. Depending on circumstances, 3 to 6 months [certificate level courses] and up to 12 months [course bundles/advanced certificates] may be granted. Extension and recommencement fees will apply.
If we have not heard from you by the end of your course expiry date, we will we will assume you do not wish to extend or defer and your course access will be terminated.
If subsequently you wish to reactivate your course, CLC requires a written [email] request and a fee of AU$150.00 will apply.
Likewise, courses officially deferred (in writing via email and no less than two weeks before the course termination date), require the recommencement fee of AU$150.00 – to be paid on course resumption.
This will be a predetermined date and failure to pay any outstanding balance by or on this date will require the account to be sent to a collection agency.
COURSE TRANSFERS
- Course Transfers [one-time] are permitted within 7 days of enrollment. Please contact Student Services immediately.
- Course Transfer fees apply and will be advised upon application.
- Transfers will NOT be permitted where work and/or assessment has been saved or submitted.
COURSE MATERIALS AND DELIVERY
Course material delivery times vary depending on the delivery method.
1. All students are granted online access to the course material. All reasonable effort will be made to ensure it will be available within 24-48 hours from date of enrollment (excluding weekends and public holidays).
- Minimum online study method requirements:
- Any smart device (computer, laptop, tablet, etc.) running a current/updated operating system;
- Reliable internet access;
- Web browser;
- Word processing program/ PDF reader;
- You will also need basic computer skills – such as typing, uploading/ downloading files, knowledge of how to navigate the internet and how to use word processing programs.
2. In case of correspondence method, students will have to select the option and pay an upfront admin fee of AU$200.00 during enrollment. Otherwise, posted notes will NOT be accepted.
3. Optional printed materials are available for most courses/units within Australia only (charges apply).
4. The content of the online Course Materials, including copyright and all other intellectual property rights contained therein, remain the property of CLC. You may NOT reproduce and distribute any part of the online course Materials without the prior written consent of CLC.
5. Course materials, course content, and assessment are subject to change.
6. Course access is available until set course expiry date.
7. Course materials are available 24/7 via our student portal. However, it may occasionally be unavailable during maintenance.
COURSE DURATION
- Certificate-level courses (i.e. 100 hrs duration) – 12 months/ 1 year
- Advanced Certificates (i.e. 400 hours duration) – 24 months/ 2 years
- Short Courses (20 hours duration) – 60 days
ASSESSMENTS
- Independent research beyond the course materials may be required to complete the assignments, where specified.
- For Certificate and Advanced Certificate courses, unlimited Tutor support is available and provided within the duration of the enrollment.
- All assignments must be submitted electronically, via student portal, unless enrolled via the correspondence study method.
- Using chatbots, AI (ChatGPT), or other automated tools to generate responses or complete assignments is strictly prohibited. All submissions must reflect personal comprehension and analysis, be written in your own words and be properly referenced. See Plagiarism Policy.
COURSE EXTENSION
In order to support students in different situations, Careerline Courses offers extensions when appropriate.
Students taking up courses who require an extension must submit a request to Student Services no later than two weeks prior to the course’s expiry date. If there are extenuating circumstances, management may grant a student’s request for an extension.
Courses that are officially extended beyond their study period will occur an additional fee of AU$100.00. This fee covers a 3-month extension period. Should the request come after the course end date, the Recommencement fee of $150.00 AUD will instead apply.
AGE RESTRICTION
There are no course or subject prerequisites for entry into our programs. However, our professional development programs are generally intended for people aged 18+. In some circumstances, enrolments from younger people may be considered. Please contact info@careerlinecourses.com prior to enrolling.
COUPON CODES AND PROMOS
Special offers/ promo codes cannot be added to an enrolment retrospectively and must be added at the time of checkout/enrolment. Promo codes are also not allowed to be used in conjunction of each other.
Course fees are subject to change.
